More than eighteen years ago, licensed horse show judge, instructor, and equine appraiser Joe Lombard was dissatisfied with what he saw as a lack of knowledgeable equine insurance agencies. A lifelong outdoorsman and equine enthusiast, Joe decided the best way to solve this problem would be to start an agency of his own. Armed with this newfound desire, and his longstanding love of the horse world, Joe opened Corinthian Insurance Agency in 1984.
Joe raised his son Scott and five other children on a working farm in Medway, Massachusetts. With an avid interest in horses equaled by his children, Joe's family founded a horse stable and named their farm Saddle Row. In this environment, Scott Lombard became an experienced horseman at a young age before graduating high school.
Following high school, Scott first became a U.S. Marine and then an experienced sales and marketing specialist. After his job was downsized during the recession, Scott was offered a chance by his father to share in the new family business. Scott accepted, obtained his license in 1990, and today works beside his father Joe at Corinthian Insurance Agency as they prepare to celebrate 20 years of protecting and guiding New England's horse, stable, and rider community through the equine world they have come to know and love.
